Culturama 2007

Culturama - Nevis' celebration of the end of slavery. For 7 days Nevisians spend their time focusing on the wealth of Culture they have inherited. It is a time for eating, drinking in a carnival atmosphere, because it is Carnival Time! The excitement is palpable. Dont miss it! It's an experience you will never forget.
Kaiso ( calyso) competitions, where each calysonian intrduces their new tune for the year, hoping that it's catchy melody and cutting lyrics will stick in the minds of the audience, and ultimately be played all the way from Gingerland to town on J'ouvert morning.
The celebrations end with the Culurama Parade. Each carnival troupe will have a theme and the carnival or Maas players will come dresed in the finery and will dance and strut there stuff for all to see.
